This is the strongest flavored of all the oregano varieties with a strong, earthy aroma. A rapid spreader with white flowers. Used in Italian dishes, tomato sauce, pizza, fish and salad dressing. Oregano prefers well-drained soil in full sun. Plant seeds in warm soil in late spring or in pots or seed trays under glass in mid-spring. Plants can be moved outdoors when the temperatures are expected to remain above 45 degrees. G@65°F~2 weeks.
