Sugar Baby Watermelon

The #1 icebox sized melon! Early! 6-10 lb. melons are great for growing in the north and have sweet deep red flesh.  After all danger of frost, sow 5 or 6 seeds in groups 6-8' apart. Tip:  Do not pick watermelons until the tendril has been brown for a week.  This will ensure top flavor and sugar quality.  We also quit watering them about 2 weeks before finishing.  This concentrates the flavor. 74 days.
