Sturdy compact plants are loaded down with large 4-lobed, thickwalled meaty fruits. Has a tender crisp texture, mild sweet flavor. Holds in the purple stage for some time, before ripening to a deep purple-red. Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Transplant in warm sun. 70-75 days from transplant.
