This particular variety of Leeks originated back in the 1870’s. This is a great performer and is perfect for either the home or market grower. Leeks are prized for their tasty pearl-white bulbs with a mild onion flavor and big green leaves. Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Thin seedlings when transplanting and plant 6" apart about 2 weeks before last frost in full sun. Mulch heavily in cold climates. Leeks overwinter well in milder climates.

Received the seed in great packaging. The company thought I was short some seeds so instead of waiting for me to count the seeds they just sent the extras and included a hand written note explaining what they did. I will be using them for a very long time!
